A mirror does more than reflect — it opens up a room, bounces light around, and makes a space

over a home bar in Conover, and it shows why the install matters as much as the glass.

The Project

We fabricated and installed a custom mirror over a home bar, cut to fit the space, finished with
safety backing, and mounted flush and level. The result is a clean, built-in look that makes the
bar area feel finished and intentional — and reflects the room’s light right where you want it.

Why Safety Backing Matters

This mirror got a safety backing — a film applied to the back so that if the mirror is ever broken,
the pieces stay bonded to the backing instead of falling. Over a bar, where glassware and people
are close by, that’s exactly where you want it. It’s a small upgrade that turns a mirror into a much
safer fixture, and it’s worth it anywhere breakage would be a hazard.

Custom-Cut Beats Off-the-Shelf

A stock mirror comes in a few sizes and rarely fits your wall. A custom mirror is measured and
cut to your exact space — wall to wall, edge to edge — so it looks built-in rather than hung. We
finish the edges cleanly and can size it for the look you’re after, whether that’s a frameless
modern panel or a fitted feature wall.

Beyond the home bar, custom mirrors transform plenty of spaces: oversized vanity mirrors in
bathrooms, full walls in home gyms and dance studios, closet and dressing areas, and

Pricing depends on size, backing, and installation. This mirror over a bar, with safety backing
and professional installation, came to about $1,475. For a custom-fit, safely-mounted feature
