Here’s something people don’t expect from a glass company: we do custom framing. It makes
sense when you think about it — the glass is the part that protects and shows off what’s inside.
We recently framed a set of concert posters for a customer, and it’s a nice reminder that the right
frame and the right glass turn a rolled-up poster into something worth hanging.

The Project

We custom-framed two 18″ x 24″ posters, each with non-glare glass and a clean 1-inch flat
black frame. The black frame keeps the focus on the artwork, and the matched pair looks
intentional side by side — a real display rather than tape on a wall.

Why Non-Glare Glass

Makes the Difference
Standard glass mirrors the room — lamps, windows, and overhead lights bounce off it, and you
end up tilting your head to actually see the art. Non-glare glass has a finely textured surface that
diffuses those reflections, so the piece reads clearly from any angle and under any lighting. For
anything you’re hanging where there’s light in the room — which is everywhere — it’s the
upgrade that makes framed art look framed instead of covered.

Frame It to Protect It

Beyond looks, framing protects. Glass shields posters and prints from dust, moisture, and
handling, and a proper frame keeps everything flat and supported so it doesn’t curl or crease
over time. For valuable or irreplaceable pieces, there are upgraded options like conservation and
UV-filtering glass that help slow fading — worth asking about if the piece matters to you.

What Custom Framing Costs

Pricing depends on size, frame style, and glass type. The two framed posters here — non-glare
glass and flat black frames — came to about $236 for the pair, roughly $120 each. For a
permanent, polished way to display something you care about, that’s an easy call over a flimsy
ready-made frame.
